Empowering the people

On Jan. 20, we decline to inaugurate a new president.   Instead, we will inaugurate a revolution—a grassroots, proactive resistance of the elimination of civil liberties and the erosion of democracy itself.

Reimagining activism

Reimagining activism

Our goals are twofold: transferring power into the hands of the disenfranchised and responding creatively to new political realities.

Join us in Bloomington, Indiana for a day of workshops, teach-ins, panel discussions, projects, and direct actions—all dedicated to the themes of justice and resistance.

This radically inclusive event is for the lifelong activist and the newcomer, the anarchist and the pacifist, the youngster and the elder, and everyone in between. No matter your philosophies, tactics, or experience, Inaugurate the Revolution will give you the opportunity to teach and learn from fellow community members. The free exchange of resources, skills, and ideas will empower you to engage others and to begin the process of building a liberatory future.

Defining revolution

Defining revolution

"revolution" means different things to different people.

For some, it is as simple as a new idea or a change in behavior. For others, it is resistance and rebellion.

For us, revolution is a radical act of love.

Revolution is more than wise words and compassion.
Revolution actively dismantles the systems of oppression that leave so many behind.
Revolution doesn't just say, "I love you and I will fight for you."
Revolution shows it—by any means necessary.

This revolution is not for the impatient. It is not for those who are easily discouraged.
It is an enduring struggle that requires our unrelenting commitment—we will be there together every step of the way.

Launching a new era

Launching a new era

Inaugurate the Revolution will culminate with an evening rally at the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater

The rally will be a celebration of a day of unprecedented action—a day where hundreds gathered to learn how to be effective agents of change in a new America. We will also celebrate the future—one where people rise up across the country to fight for what is right, what is true, and what is necessary: freedom from those who seek to oppress us.

This celebration, rooted in joy and justice, will serve not as an end but as a beginning to a new era of activism in Bloomington and beyond.

We hope you'll join us.
